My training has included academic classical work at the London Atelier of Representational Art. I followed this with three years study of iconography under Aidan Hart at the Prince's Foundation for Traditional Arts. I began my doctoral research, on female faces in pre-14th century icons, at the Prince's Foundation for Traditional Arts in September 2022. My work focuses strongly on early prototypes with individualised faces which are fairly realistic, combined with more abstraction in garments  and strong abstraction in the backgrounds.  ​
